Ed's Mailing Address at Basic Training

If you want to write Ed a letter at basic training please leave a comment to this post with your email address (use "at" instead of @ to avoid spambots in your address). I should have his address by Feb. 01

Your obviously way more computer savvy than me and I left off a letter in my e-mail in my last post. Perhaps you will not get this but hopefully my love for you will transcend the internet!? I feel so badly that we did not get to see you before you left but hope your send off was righteous. Please keep us posted if you have your lap top or whatever and know that our thoughts are with you always. My prayers, too although not in the conventional sense-in case there are any evangalist web sites reading this! Love you sweetie and have many fond and loving memories of you to get us through this. Be safe, be well, be loved. Sue RHantioch@hotmail.com

Good news! Ed called Sunday and talked long enough to say he is fine. After a week of paperwork he seems ready to get going with his training. The real stuff starts this Friday, Jan. 19 after spending this week on First Aid training.

If anyone talks with Eddie just let him know that Joy says hello and hopes he is doing well - he is missed.

I am 36 years old and researching enlisting in the Army. I spent some time in the Marine Corps but, apparently my age prohibits my re-enlistment. Is Edward a 40 year old recruit? I need more info.

Yep, he's 40. I think the age for the Army has recently been raised to 42.
