More Ed News
... and maybe a little delayed. For that, I apologize. What can I say? School and work have gotten me completely knackered.
Nevertheless, more news from Ed. 
He got the Expert Badge in Rifle Marksmanship! Very cool looking thing, yeah? Only one other guy in his platoon scored that high and only a few in the whole company. I'm sure he will do a better job at elaborating on that experience. I know I was (and I am still) extremely amazed. Who wouldn't be??? I didn't even think it would've been possible for anyone what with all the pressure and the lack of sleep, etc. But Ed did it.

At this point, he has also completed the Eagle Tower (he was the first person ready to rappel and down the wall!), 4- mile march, Leadership Course and some PT Assessment. He has also done two funeral details (I wish I was there to witness all that and more!)
In all, it sounds like he's doing very well.
More news to come, I'm sure.

linguisome, Thanks for keeping us up to date! Ed is getting his mail now and really appreciates getting news from home. Sometimes no mail gets delivered and then one day a dozen at once. Everyone, keep them coming

Hey Ed,
Hope all is well for you we miss you alot and I thought i'd post this as opposed to a letter so you would know you're covered on the net and snail mail. You must be getting close to the end of basic-then what? Special training because you're so damn smart!!?? Be well we love you..Sue
