No More "Kids"

Watching the Sunday morning news shows, I noticed something, as pundits and pols were talking about the war in Iraq and as they were about to refer to the soldiers, sailors and Marines, they paused a moment, and where they would normally say "kids," they are now saying "troops." Perhaps after Kerry's dimunition of our troops, there is a new-found respect that has made the pols and pundits come to realize that calling the troops "kids" isn't much better than calling them idiots and drop-outs.
