But they "support the troops."

Yeah, they support them by not listening to any of them. I bet our troops love the message these communist rabble-rousers send:

"We support you, but we're doing it our way rather than yours because you're too stupid and brainwashed to see the big picture as only we enlighted pro-terrorist, anti-American groups can."

These idiots were wrong with Vietnam, resorting to lies and propaganda, all spread by an adoring media, and they're wrong now. There is a resemblence between today's war and the Vietnam war. That being that the anti-American protesters are in bed with the MSM just as they were in the 60's and 70's.

From Washington Post Article
"I've never done this before, but here I am, in uniform, figuring this is the only way I can shove it to Bush," said Cookinham, of Newport, R.I., a Persian Gulf War veteran who recently returned from a second tour in Iraq. "This war makes no sense."

Marching past the Treasury Building, Steven Olsen, 57, and his wife, Brenda, 49, of Yonkers, N.Y., held signs bearing a photo of their son, an Army Reserve sergeant sent to Iraq after enrolling in medical school.

"I hear from him about once a month," said Brenda as her husband gently waved a placard that said, "Proud of my soldier: Ashamed of this war."

RE TISH:
In response to this statement I have only a few things to say to you. My best friend was killed in this war. I was at the protest in her memory because she was opposed to it. In spite of whatever you feel, I am not, nor have I have I ever been,pro-terrorist or anti-American. I am pro the soldier that was like a sister to me. I am pro my best friends grieving family. I am pro-preservation of American life.
At no time during that protest did I call any of the soldiers lined up for counter protest stupid. I respect them for their sacrifices, but that will not stop me from honoring the sacrifice of my friend in the way that she would have wanted.

RE TISH:
It seems that the only one stooping to the level of disregarding the intelligence of any protestors (of either view point) from that day is yourself. I have nothing else to say to this portion of your comment because I feel saddened that you are not speaking at more of an adult level. If there is anyone from an opposing viewpoint who wishes to discuss this rationally as adults, I would be delighted.

oh dear. Yes one can be quite proAmerican and oppose this war.

The issue here, however, is that it is flat out wrong to participate in a march that was organized by the communist front group ANSWER. The people in the WaPo story are dupes and useful idiots. If they want to say this war is wrong, fine. If they want to march against it, fine again. But not with these communists.

Consider this, would you march in a protest if you learned the organizers were really members of the KKK? I think not, and I'll bet the WaPo would report honestly on it (for once)
