let me clarify: the dirties were chanting, "Go sign up!" Implying that civilians shouldn't have say over foreign policy. In response, war-supporting maimed soldiers & Marines held their prosthetic limbs aloft in a vain attempt to shame the dirties. The dirties looked away and kept chanting.

Most of the people in the military do support the war. There aren't many socialists fighting and dieing in the U.S. Army.
Even if there were 100,000 protesters... so what? Those people aren't average citizens. For a leftist, going to a protest is like going on a picnic.
Every comment from v is a insult or a repeat of the old chickenhawk arguement, but he complains about the koolaid comment? I would imagine the reason there were not more Support the Troop folks is because we have jobs and stuff. However, if it makes you feel better, if there ever comes a day where we can not convince a majority of voters to support our policies, we might get a few thousand people together to throw a tantrum in DC. Difference being we won't be blocking streets, wearing masks, burning flags and shouting profanities. But there will be hot chicks, so we got that going for us.
Yes, v, few of us show up. As it happens we are not on the dole, do not work in education or hold jobs which allow lots of time off just to go scream obscenities and whine about not having our lap dogs in office.
Sitting here at 0430 on the first day of a new job I am humbled that there are those who have made it in support of the troops & the White House.

That "dweeb with the bald spot" is former Army Specialist Kevin Pannell, and he's holding up one of his two prosthetic legs which he earned in a grenade attack in Iraq, you idiot. i was there, and there were actually over 300,000 anti war people just in DC. There were hundreds of thousands of other people protesting in different areas. For the pro war rally on sunday, approximately 400 people showed up. that's quite a difference in numbers.
