Final photo-blog postings from Saturday's Defend the Whitehouse rally: It took me a few hours extra to get these last pics posted - they are not from today (Sunday) they are still from Saturday's counter protest. I have many more pics that I'll upload to my flickr account and link from here when I get back to Chicago. The hotel wireless just isn't able to handle so many 3500 x 2400 pics. The pictures I handpicked for the blog here are meant to tell the story in general - but there are a lot of people who will be interested in the full set just because they know people in the pics, etc. So check back here next weekend for the full, hi-res set at flickr. -Ed

You could post a pic of each individual supporter. There were maybe 325 people total.

More of you cowards need to fight this war you love. America is getting too stupid, we need to cleanse the gene pool.

Yeah! We don't have time to fight for what we believe in, hippie! Sure, maybe 100,000+ liberals may be able to take Sunday off work, but some of us are busy working on the seventh day, thank you very much!

If you feel so strongly about this why are you not signing up to go to Iraq to be a human shield?

Listen, liberal, we believe that the war is going well, so stop telling us to sign up. It's hateful people like you, skye, with your veiled death threats that are killing civil discourse.

Hey Gus, It may interest you to know that many of the people on the sidewalk side of the barrier were veterans, like myself. The guys next to me... One had lost a brother in Iraq, one was a vet in a wheelchair, one has lost both legs in Iraq. These are some of the people you are calling "chickenhawks." You don't have a clue what you are talking about... and excuse me, but your intolerance is showing.
