Defend the White House

Update: Sorry it is sideways, PDA/Cam not up to the task of realtime upload of landscape shots.

Oh yeah, you're real on top of things. You have a picture of maybe twenty people, and you tilt it sideways.

Maybe you think it looks like more people that way.

Another stupid con!

Con, n. # an argument opposed to a proposal
# convict: a person serving a sentence in a jail or prison
# victimize: deprive of by deceit; "He swindled me out of my inheritance"; "She defrauded the customers who trusted her"; "the cashier gypped me when he gave me too little change"
# bunco: a swindle in which you cheat at gambling or persuade a person to buy worthless property

Dear V:

Sophomoric name calling? Is this really going to elevate the political discussion? So what if the photo is sideways--it can easily be fixed. It makes me so sad that individuals such as yourself attempt to use name calling and put downs to prove that your side is right. It really would be nice if you could raise above the name calling.

I just love it when cons get all high-handed. They even sound like those squishy "be nice" liberals.

Hey, man, don't do a blog if you can't take the comments.

Your picture is still sideways.

Sideways maybe. 20 people, sure. More people there probably. On the news, of course not - you need a drum circle, eco-terrorists, and misguided and misinformed protesters. Too bad these people are none of the above - they actually do have a righteous cause.

Keep the faith Ed!

Dear V: I thought I should clear the air.. The post above about sophomoric name calling was not from Ed. It was from someone living in Scottsdale, AZ who is sick and tired of name calling used as a means to gain an edge in the political discourse. Until people such as yourself discontinue the name calling (stupid con????), we can't move forward as a country. Spewing hate by calling your fellow citizens who just happen to disagree with you names IS NOT doing anything to advance the conversation. It closes it down. That's all I am saying.

Thanks, Ed, for the pictures. They're good to see.

And thanks for attending the rally too. You are a great American!

Actually they aren't right. They are "Left" or "Wrong" (also the opposite of "Right".)

It really would be nice if ["V"] could raise above the name calling.
That would require thought, but the Left became intellectually fat and lazy during the decades when their side ran everything. During those days they never had to learn to argue above the level of "'Shut up,' he explained."

A bumper sticker I saw on the Ohio Turnpike said "Small minds discuss people; Average minds discuss events; Great minds discuss ideas." We can see which one "V" has.

Poor cons. Your rally was so lame. There are TEN TIMES AS MANY ANTI-WAR PROTESTORS as Bushbots.

You can whine all you want about name-calling, which is just like everything else con: a load of hypocritical crap.

What's a con's favorite wine?

"You're calling NAMES!"

Ooh.

TEN THOUSAND ANTI-WAR PROTESTORS VERSUS ABOUT--WHAT, 500 BUSHBOTS?

Whine all you want--the numbers tell the story.

What was the BIG rally the Pentagon held a few weeks ago? Remember? Think really, really hard.

It was the America Supports You Freedom Walk.

Oh, I know--you were too busy, you have a job, you support the effort from your La-Z-Boy and keyboard, in between checking out your TiVo.

There were maybe 1,000 civil-service employees under strict "encouragement" from their bosses, plus maybe a few hundred Bushbots (probably out trying to get laid).

Jeez, you'd think the cons could do better.

You'd better start making it impossible to comment, boyo, or you'll get more than this faceful.

You know, there'd be more pro-war folks there...but they're a little busy keeping you folks safe from...you know...the people that want to kill you.

too bad you're just too addicted to hate to realize that.

Naw, I don't think so. You guys throw that canard out all the time, and you know it's bullshit, but: it's the only argument you've got. No WMD, no Osama, no peace in Afghanistan (except in the security-guard bubble around Karzai), tens of thousands of noncombatants killed, huge amounts of graft and corruption that the US is likely going to do nothing about, $4 gasoline, huge budget deficit, US soldiers breaking prisoners' legs . . .

Yeah, frankly, I'd rather have those Bad Apples of Abu Ghraib stay over in Iraq. They'll get theirs.

Addicted to hate . . . that's an interesting accusation. You mean, like "sand niggers"? You mean, "Kick Their Ass, Take Their Gas"? You mean, like "ragheads"?

Oh, yeah, the peaceniks are full of bigotry and hate. But we don't have those words in our vocabulary, or those slogans on our T-shirts.

Those guys are your boys.

Or "invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity," to paraphrase Ann Coulter?

She's a man, you know. Check the gullet.

Thanks for the photos. Like most normal Americans, I support the troops, and I'm happy to see there were people willing to give up their weekend to represent us in DC! God bless the troops and bring them home safely once they've succeeded in their historic mission!

V...true, the "cons" have shirts but take a look at some of the liberal / left shirts in these photos...comparing President Bush to Hitler? Get a grip. "Bush is a pussy". Burning flags? Both are guilty of it...you're just not admitting it.
