Public Radio Pretentiousness: Flipping the dial back and forth between blow-hard egotist Hannity and NPR can be quite an experience. Tonight Hannity was particularly difficult to bear, as he brought one guest after another on to defame and slander Terri Schiavo's husband. I figured that anything NPR had to offer couldn't possibly be worse. Well, listen to this.

France is the r0x0rs!!! USA suckz!!! Yeah, it's all Reagan's fault for ruining wine!

Idiot. It's called capitalism, you moron. Survival of the fittest. If your crappy little winery couldn't make it, I don't know what to tell you.

/harsh

ps: And I'm a total wine-nut, too. I am all for the small wineries, but I think this is a B.S. argument. "Bigger" does not mean "worse." And all wine does not taste the same. GARGH.

i'm still listening.

though hearing a winemaker lament, "wine is dead! wine is dead!" in french under the strain of the ausies and californians is pleasing, part of me feels this interview would be yet improved by diogenese rising from the grave, walking into the studio, and ripping a big fart in this insufferable phoney's face.
