West Wing Rerun Seen in New Light: I was watching one of the back-to-back reruns of West Wing on ABC last night and found the storyline taking on new meaning since President Bush's inaugural address.
In the two-part episode (I & II), originally aired Feb. 5th, 2003, President Bartlett has a last minute change of heart and alters not only the text of his speech, but the entire U.S. foreign policy, creating a "new doctrine" that proclaims to spread freedom and end tyranny around the globe. Sound familiar?
It was a great 2 hours of West Wing followed up by a visit to www.whitehouse.gov to watch the real President's inaugural address again.
UPDATE: I guess I wasn't the only one to notice the similarity. I came across this while googling for the transcript of the "Bartlett speech."

Ain't it crazy how very liberal Martin Sheen portrays a quite conservative (I'd say realist) Democrat on TV? I stay away from network TV as much as possible, but I have to admit to liking what episodes of WW I've seen.
