Best for the job: The Dems pick for a family services position was questionable, Blago's decision to give him a raise is really telling. If they can't find a person to fill this job who is better qualified than this guy, they haven't looked hard enough. Might his hiring and raise have someting to do with the fact that Minister Obadele worked on Blago's campaign?
His own family life, however, is coming into question as he starts to draw a $10,000 raise from the child-welfare agency.
Obadele, a 30-year-old associate Baptist minister and former DCFS ward, has four children by three different women.
Not surprisingly, he has his critics.
"How can you have a job like that with DCFS when you've got babies all over the place?" said Bob Storman, a Chicago media and political consultant who has criticized Obadele for craving the media spotlight.
Update: Good to see he is working on that degree (scroll down).
Obadele is currently pursuing a community development degree at Northeastern Illinois University.
I guess there are just some things you can't learn in the "bowels of the communities."
Our Tax Money: The feds question the wisdom of spending our precious tax dollars on classes teaching homosexuals how to pick up male prostitutes.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention specifically criticized the nonprofit Stop AIDS Project for a workshop that offers guidelines on ''safe and friendly relations'' with male prostitutes, another that discusses oral sex and a third entitled ''Bootylicious'' that provides tips for successful anal intercourse.
In February, federal health reviewers concluded that workshops with names such as ''A Walk on the Wildside'' and ''Guy Watch'' were based on ''current behavioral science theories in the area of health promotion'' and consistent with locally determined standards of decency.
